Статья посвящена исследованию биографии и творческого наследия сказителя-улигершина Михаила Алексеевича Гергусеева, уроженца Осинского района Иркутской области, погибшего в Великой Отечественной войне. В 1940 г. А. И. Шадаевым от М. А. Гергусеева был записан локальный вариант эпоса о Гэсэре, являющийся образцом классической унгинской версии Гэсэриады. Рассмотрен его сюжет, выявлены индивидуальные сказительские вариации и импровизации.

The article is devoted to the study of the biography and creative legacy of Mikhail Alekseevich Gerguseev, a native of the Osa district of the Irkutsk region, who died in the Great Patriotic War. In 1940 A. I. Shadaev recorded a local version of the epic about Geser from M. A. Gerguseev, which is an example of the classical Unga version of the Geser epic. The article examines the plot of the epic and identifies individual variations and improvi-sations by the narrator.
