CURRENT TRENDS IN THE LABOR MARKET

FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION GRADUATES

The current state of the labor market in the Russian Federation as a whole and in the regional aspect is considered using the example of the Republic of Buryatia. The dynamics of the population, fertility and mortality, as well as in traregional and external migration flows are analyzed. The key challenges facing the labor market are formulated. It has been established that the labor market demonstrates a steady demand for graduates of secondary vocational education (SPE), especially in industries where practical skills, technical training is required and there is a shortage in working specialties. Trends have been identified: the growing demand for workers who are ready to perform labor functions with a minimum period of adaptation; the expansion of automation and robotization of production, requiring technical specialists capable of servicing modern equipment. The study used materials from Rosstat, the Territorial Body of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Republic of Buryatia, departmental monitoring, statistical collections of the Higher School of Economics, and Internet materials.
